where did all the hate come from?

my good friend crystal handed me some material passed on to her agnostic mother from the neighbor next door...crystal is always amused- wait, slightly annoyed by the magazines and boycott papers she finds in her mother's house...

this week, it is interesting that this should come up...this is the reason that the american family association is boycotting ford...i find it strange that they just don't ban the tv program that actually has the explicit scene in it...but instead, it is spelled out in graphic detail so that basically, i sense we should ban the afa.net website for containing this material...

what is even funnier, is that i typed in the website posted on this letter in which the afa has listed as their site...which is in turn, afa.org- which is the air force association...somebody needs a proofreader!! the letter has "what to say to ford dealers" and how to approach the boycott in a polite, but firm way...

bottom line: that whole love your neighbor thing is apparently overrated...

mid-trip update...

okay...it's possible that idaho might be my new favorite state...only because while i spent three luxurious hours awaiting my shuttle to jackson, i had genuine, home-grown, from the farm down the road potatoes...spud farm, i think she called it...i ate them in the form of french fries...and i must say- they were good!

pappan, i'm working on how to smuggle you a sixer of snake river beer...say a prayer...

more perspective...

well, today i celebrated my gray hair...AND, to top it off, i invested in reading glasses...nothing says old like gray hair and reading glasses...wait, here's an equation in case it hasn't affected you like it did me...

gray hair + reading glasses = OLD

perspective...

I would like to beg you to have patience
With everything unresolved in your heart
And try to love the questions themselves...

Don't search for answers
Which could not be given to you now
Because you would not be able to live them
And the point is to live everything.

Live the quesitons now
Perhaps then, someday in the future,
You will gradually, without even noticing it,
Live your way to the answer.
